Beginner’s guide
IPTV for beginners
Everything you need to know before your first subscription: the words you will see, the equipment you need, how ordering works and what to check so there are no surprises.

The words you will come across
- IPTV
- Television delivered over the internet to a player app instead of through an aerial, dish or cable box.
- Player app
- A third-party app on your device that reads your subscription details and plays the streams. You choose the player; the subscription works with any that supports the standard sign-in methods.
- Xtream Codes
- A sign-in method using a server address, a username and a password. It gives the tidiest categories and guide integration.
- M3U playlist
- A single link to a playlist file listing every stream. The most widely compatible sign-in method.
- EPG
- Electronic programme guide: the on-screen schedule showing what is on now and next.
- Buffering
- A pause while the player waits for more video to arrive. Usually caused by Wi-Fi or an overloaded network.
What you need
- A compatible device. A Fire TV Stick, Smart TV, Android TV box, Apple TV, phone, tablet or computer. You almost certainly own one already.
- A stable internet connection. Wired is best. If you use Wi-Fi, keep the device close to the router.
- A player app. Installed from your device’s app store. Some are free; some charge the developer a small one-off fee.
- A subscription. From us, for 1, 3, 6 or 12 months.
How ordering works with us

Questions to ask before you buy from anyone
- Is my specific device supported, and which player app should I use?
- How many screens can watch at the same time?
- What categories are included, and is a programme guide provided?
- What is the total price, and does the subscription renew automatically?
- How do I get support, and what is the refund policy?
We answer all of these on this website and on WhatsApp before you order.
Realistic expectations
Internet television depends on your connection and your device. A good setup gives smooth playback most of the time; no service can promise that every stream will play perfectly on every network at every moment. If you run into a problem, our troubleshooting guides and support team will help you find the cause.
Questions & answers
Frequently asked questions
What is Xtreme HD IPTV?
Xtreme HD IPTV is an internet-based television subscription. Instead of a satellite dish or cable box, programming is delivered over your existing internet connection to a compatible player app on your TV, streaming device, phone, tablet or computer.
How does an IPTV subscription work?
You choose a subscription length, confirm your order with our team, and receive the details needed to sign in. You enter those details into a compatible IPTV player app on your device, and the categories included with your subscription appear in the app. The subscription runs for the period you chose and can be renewed before it ends.
Which devices can I use?
Common options include Amazon Fire TV and Firestick, Samsung and LG Smart TVs, Android TV and Google TV devices, Apple TV, Android phones and tablets, iPhone and iPad, and Windows or Mac computers. Each needs a compatible IPTV player app. See the Compatible Devices page for details and setup links.
Can I use one subscription on several devices?
You can install a player app on more than one device and sign in with the same details, but the number of devices that can stream at the same time depends on the subscription. Tell us how many screens you expect to use at once and we will confirm what is possible before you order.
What internet connection do I need?
A stable broadband connection is the most important factor. As a general guide, HD streams typically need a reliable connection of around 10 Mbps or more, and 4K content needs considerably more. A wired Ethernet connection or a strong Wi-Fi signal close to the router gives the most consistent results.
How do I contact customer support?
Message us on WhatsApp or call +44 7868 240819. Both options are available from the Contact page and the floating WhatsApp button on every page.
What should I do if my stream buffers?
First, restart the player app and your router. Move closer to the router or switch to a wired connection if you can, close other apps or downloads using bandwidth, and try a lower quality stream if the player offers one. If buffering continues, contact us with your device type and the time it happened so we can investigate.
